Renewing

Most items can be renewed twice, as long as no one else is waiting for them. You can stop in, call (648-2648), or email (salisburyfree@gmail.com) to renew your items. They can also be renewed online through your account. If you have trouble logging in, please contact library staff.

Holds

If we own an item but it is already checked out, you can place a hold on it – contact us by phone, email, or use the library catalog. When it comes in, we will notify you by phone or email if you have one listed and you will have up to a week to come pick it up.

If we don’t own the book

If the item is newly published within the last six months, you may ask that we purchase a copy. If it is older than six months, we can try to borrow it from another library in the state. Purchase requests can typically take up to a month to go through, and interlibrary loan requests about 2 weeks. We will inform you if we can’t get an item.

Fines

We don’t charge fines unless a book is missing or damaged. There is a “guilt money” box at the circulation desk if you would like to pay anyway, and we always accept donations.
